Suggestions for places to eat at lunch breaks

As the conference venue is located in the City Centre, there are a lot of options for lunch (both in the Old Town and in the City Centre). Here are some of the suggestions from the vast majority of options.


  1. LIDO (Elizabetes iela 65) – self-service cafeteria which offers a wide choice of Latvian food for a very good price (including business lunch for 4.70 EUR). This is a very popular place for locals to eat, so it tends to be crowded during lunch time. 5 min from conference venue.
  2. There is another LIDO (Dzirnavu iela 75-76) a bit further. 10 minutes from the conference venue.
  3. FOOD HALL BURZMA (Audēju iela 16). Located on the 4th floor of the shopping mall “Galerija Centrs”. Here you have a choice from pizza, traditional Latvian food, Mexican, Georgian, Asian cuisines, sushi and others. It also has a roof terrace with a view of Old Town. 10 min from conference venue.
  4. BISTRO IESMI (Blaumaņa iela 9) – contemporary shashlik spot in Riga. Meal starting from 12 EUR. 10 minutes from the conference venue.
  5. ANDALŪZIJAS SUNS (Elizabetes iela 83) – democratic restaurant with lots of space and variety of food (including TEX-MEX). You can get business lunch here on working days (depending on your choice, approximately 8 EUR). 8 min from conference venue.
  6. AUSMEŅA KEBABS (Skolas iela 12) – quality kebab place with a Latvian twist (and Latvian beer). It is easy to miss though, due to the lack of sign (it is located in the basement). 10 min from conference venue.
  7. BIG BAD BAGELS (Baznīcas iela 8) – bagel place which offers a vast selection of bagels and salads (one bagel costs approximately 8 EUR). Not a lot of space though. 10 min from conference venue.
  8. McDONALD’S (Kaļķu iela 17) – no explanation needed. 5 min from conference venue.

Vegetarian & Vegan

  1. MIIT COFFEE (Lāčplēša iela 10) – vegetarian restaurant (with vegan options as well) and a coffee house. Each working day it offers a different lunch menu (depending on your choice, approximately 7 EUR). 10 min from conference venue.
  2. MAZĀ TERAPIJA (Baznīcas iela 15) – small vegan place, which offers snacks and business lunch. 10 min from conference venue.

Code ticket
